HOSTS

  • BEX CAMPBELL

    HOST

Born and raised in Wyoming, Bex did her time in the Northeast for about five years before finally making it to her forever home; California (because, obviously). She’s got both a bachelor’s and master’s degree in social work and has spent over a decade working in that field. But let’s be real- she’s got a curious mind and loves learning new things, so she’s dabbled in various other industries along the way.

In her (nonexistent) spare time, she channels her inner changemaker by advocating for equity and justice, fighting systemic nonsense, and getting loud about the things that matter and some things that don’t. When she’s not busy with all that, you’ll find her traveling, hanging with her favorite people, creating, lifting heavy things at the gym for fun, and indulging in the two greatest food groups: gluten-free pastries and French fries.

  • TOMÁS EVANGELISTA

    HOST

Tomás Evangelista came to the U.S. from Morelita, Guerrero, Mexico, at age 2 and landed in Auburn, CA, at 6, where he grew up with grit and heart under the care of his grandparents. After losing his mother to cancer, Tomás turned pain into purpose, becoming a collegiate track and cross-country athlete while earning a Kinesiology degree from California State University, Stanislaus. In 2016, he found his voice as an advocate, sharing his story to uplift immigrant communities.

These days, Tomás serves on the Placer County Behavioral Health Advisory Board and runs Evangelista Community Relations, where he helps campaigns and communities connect. With a mix of hustle, heart, and a little bit of swagger, Tomás is all about making waves and championing immigrant voices

  • NEVA PARKER

    HOST

Neva Parker is California through and through. Born and raised in Hercules, she hustled through public schools and made her way to UC Davis, snagging a history degree after a pit stop at Contra Costa College.

Her Capitol career started with a 10-month internship—but Neva doesn’t do “temporary.” She mastered the legislative process and turned it into a 26-year career, eventually running the Senate’s official record as Journal Clerk.

For 22 years, she and her husband Dennis have built their life in Roseville, juggling brick-and-mortar and online businesses like pros. She serves as Chair of the Roseville Grants Advisory Commission and as member of the Placer County Older Adult Advisory Commission. She holds a Masters degree from Saint Mary’s.
